​​​My work is currently transitioning into autumn inspiration, my colour and intuitive response to capturing the ether and movement of light in each season of our nature world is intrinsically a fuel for my paintings. Timeless moments of joy along the coastline, evoked from sea,  river,  sky, land, during sea swimming, bike rides and walks along the Sussex coastline and South Downs, watching the murmurations dance in a dusk sky,

I am interested in sharing moments in time from our natural world when the spirit of this inspiration turns into the matter of paint and brushstrokes on canvas or wood to share these connecting nostalgic moments of abstract response and colour love, through intuitive abstract painting .

My parents joined a cargo crew with myself and my brother in a banana cargo boat from Portsmouth to Barbados the crossing took over twenty days back in the 1970's, I would tell my friends at school this farcical tale and they never believed it! But  the experience of travelling through different lights from dusk till dawn age 3 across the oceans has left a tattoo of my fascination for the sea and all the creatures that live under it, mermaids, sea monsters, dolphins, sea ghosts, fishes another world under a prussian blue or turquoise, so I try to create this depth of vast enchantment and allure  where the sky meets the sea through my use of colour and mark layering up an abstract world on canvas to share this magic domain with my audience.
